Maria Otero, head of the Tibetan issue with the U.S. government, on Monday met the Dalai Lama expressed his support for a peaceful resolution with China.
The Dalai Lama, who is currently on a nine-day trip to North America, met in Atlanta (Georgia, south-east) Maria Otero, Deputy Secretary of State for Democracy and Corporate Affairs, who is also the coordinator Special U.S. government for Tibet.
It was the first meeting between a U.S. official and the Dalai Lama since the meeting between the Tibetan leader and the president Barack Obama in February in the White House.
